Fabrics that inspire

The yarns flow on fine lines while colors blend into precious fabrics. Strong curry yellow, raspberry red and pink become a unique ensemble which represents one of the world’s most exclusive cloth factories, Moessmer in Bruneck.

Once you enter the VIP gondola on the Kronplatz, you will take off with Moessmer. The glamorous experience in the luxury gondola does not only offer an amazing view onto the Dolomites but also special amenities. Soft pillows, exclusive white seat covers and curtains by Moessmer and sparkling wine make the twenty-minute tour an unforgettable experience. A little piece of advice: Do not draw the curtains to enjoy the landscape!

When Gisele Bündchen or Adriana Lima are presenting fashion collections by Dolce & Gabbana, Chanel, Prada, Gucci or Louis Vuitton they are brand ambassadors for South Tyrol. Why? Because they wear fabrics manufactured by the historical cloth factory Moessmer in Bruneck.

Those who travel in South Tyrol or Trentino consciously or unconsciously “flirt” with Moessmer. The Italian national railways are equipped with fabrics from the textile factory in Bruneck. The premium quality loden with the highest fire protection classification is a stylish eye catcher as well as breathable and dirt repellent.

For more than ten years the cloth factory has been working with partners from arts and architecture. “Artists by Moessmer” has been a unique project in the Alpine region which shows art in the public domain acting as an interface between art and fashion. The artists Julia Bornefeld, Sylvie Riant and Wilma Kammerer work in a work hall provided by Moessmer all year. In the company-villa one of the most well-known Italian artists can be found: the author Joseph Zoderer is famous for his novels, narratives and poems.

Inspired by the Tyrolean lifestyle, the walk, loden and tweed fabrics ensure an exceptional appearance when worn as shoes. The Moessmer affiliate “Living Kitzbühel” presents slippers, moccasins and high-class sneakers made of pure new wool, combining tradition, sportiveness and alpine chic.

The production of the first and only premium loden with the highest fire protection classification in 2010 enabled Moessmer to open up a new market segment in interior design and furnishing. Superb blends, surface feel and opacity ensure a cozy, comfortable atmosphere in many European and international luxury hotels. Fabrics that improve the room climate and adjust sound are developed in close cooperation with international architects.
